Prime Cotton Company
Prime Cotton LLC, part of GP Cotton Holdings, has been producing Azerbaijani cotton since 1995. Partnering with 4,000 farmers, the company operates an integrated supply chain covering cotton cultivation, ginning, yarn manufacturing, recycling, and cottonseed processing. Its infrastructure includes 10 ginning facilities and three spinning mills in Mingachevir and Baku. Products include cotton fiber, high-quality yarn, cottonseed, cottonseed oil, cottonseed cake and cereals. Advanced spinning technologies and USTER laboratory systems support consistent quality, strength and purity. Sustainable farming practices include water-saving irrigation, crop rotation and environmentally responsible pest control. Production is monitored and documented to support traceability from farm to finished product. Prime Cotton supplies international markets including Turkey, Russia, the Middle East and Europe.

Cotton Fiber
Prime Cotton produces cotton fiber from locally cultivated Azerbaijani cotton at 10 ginning facilities using roller gin and saw gin technologies. The fiber is known for its long staple, strength and soft texture, making it suitable for apparel, home textiles and high-performance fabrics. Catalogue specifications include a staple length of 30.5 mm, average strength of 32, a Spinning Consistency Index (SCI) of 100–160, a Uniformity Index (UI) of 80–87 and color grades (CGrd) of 21/2–62/1. Production stages are monitored and documented to ensure traceability.
High-Quality Yarn
Prime Cotton manufactures yarn for knitting, weaving and other textile applications using advanced spinning technologies and USTER laboratory quality control. The yarn catalogue lists open-end yarns (Ne 6/1–Ne 32/1), twisted yarns (Ne 12/2–Ne 40/2), combed and compact yarns (Ne 10/1–Ne 40/1), and ring-spun yarns (Ne 8/1–Ne 40/1). Premium cotton yarns are also available in Ne 60/1 and Ne 80/1. The range includes 100% cotton and blends with linen, viscose, polyester or acrylic. Yarn fineness, twisting and composition can be customized to meet customer specifications.
Cottonseed
Prime Cotton processes 65,000–70,000 tons of cottonseed annually as part of its integrated cotton value chain. Cottonseed is used in the production of cottonseed oil and animal-feed products. Catalogue specifications identify first-class quality, moisture of 9.17%, protein content of 16.84%, oil content of 18.14%, cellulose content of 24.14% and ash content of 4.13%. The listed aflatoxin level is 4.963 ppb.
Cottonseed Oil
Cottonseed oil produced at the Shirvan facility is exported to Turkey, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Specifications: free fatty acids (as oleic acid) ≤0.25%, moisture and volatile matter ≤0.1%, insoluble impurities ≤0.1%, and lecithin (as phosphorus) ≤10 ppm. Mineral oil test: negative.
